3 hospitalised after house burglary on Millerd Street

Three people have been taken to hospital after a house burglary on Millerd Street this morning.

It happened at around 6am and two women and a man were taken to Cork University Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí told RedFM news cash was taken from the home in the city and no arrests have been made but a technical examination of the scene is taking place.

Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses who may have information to contact Bridewell Garda Station.

"Gardaí in Cork are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary on Millerd Street in Cork which occurred at approximately 6am this morning, Wednesday, 17th April 2024.

Three occupants in the house, two women and a man, were injured during the incident. They were taken to Cork University Hospital where they are currently receiving treatment for injuries which are understood to be serious but not life-threatening.
A sum of cash was also reported stolen. A technical examination of the scene is due to place later this morning. 
No arrests have been made at this time. Investigations are ongoing.
