Two men in their 30's were rescued after a jet ski incident on the River Lee near Blackrock Castle last night.
A multi agency rescue operation was launched after they fell into the water.
One man was taken to Cork University Hospital to be treated for non life threatening injuries.
Crosshaven Coast Guard said:
Shortly after 8pm Crosshaven Coast Guard along with RNLI Crosshaven Lifeboat Station were tasked to a jet ski with two persons in difficulty at Lough Mahon.
Upon arrival National Ambulance Service (NAS) were on scene followed by Cork City Fire Brigade.
One casualty had made his way ashore and was treated by National Ambulance Service (NAS) and was taken away to CUH for further treatment.
The second casualty & jet ski was rescued by RNLI Crosshaven Lifeboat Station and transferred to Crosshaven Coast Guard at Marine point in Ringaskiddy.
The second casualty was assessed by National Ambulance Service (NAS) and was deemed fit to travel home with his family whilst Crosshaven Coast Guard recovered the Jet Ski.
Thankfully nobody was seriously hurt and the incident ended with a successful conclusion.
