Gardaí are investigating after the bodies of a man and woman in their 80's were found at a home in Glounthaune.
Emergency services were called to the scene of an incident yesterday evening.
Two bodies were found, and the scene has been preserved for a technical exam.
It's understood foul play is not suspected.
In a statement to RedFM News, Gardaí said:
"Gardaí in Mayfield were alerted to an incident this evening, Monday 30th June 2025, at a residence at Glounthaune, Co. Cork.
Gardaí attended the scene and two bodies were located in the house (one man and one woman aged in their 80’s, both deceased).
The scene is preserved for technical examination.
No further information is available at this time."
