Cork City and County Councils have received 14,000 pothole complaints in the last 3 years.
That’s three times more than any other county with Cork also paying out 2.5 times more than any other county in pothole compensation claims between 2022 and 2024.

"I did have potholes and I complained about it, I sent in pictures and I heard nothing back."
"It was raining and I hit a pothole and I burst my tyre, I had to get a taxi, I was annoyed about it, very stressful."
"I actually had to buy 2 tyres last week because I hit a pothole in Gurranabraher. €90 a tyre."
