Gardai are continuing to question four men who were arrested as part of a multi million euro drugs haul in West Cork
Approximately €31 million worth of cocaine, which authorities believe was destined for Britain, was recovered in Courtmacsherry
It's the biggest drugs bust in the country this year - and is now being examined by Forensic Science Ireland.
Niall O'Connor of the Journal.ie told RedFM News he believes the success of this operation may send out a strong message to other drug cartels
"i suppose an operation like this, and because of the success of it and the success of the MV Matthew, it may begin to get to the point now where those cartels, whether they are in Dubai, in the Netherlands, or in South America, may start considering Ireland is not the right place to land these sort of drug shipments anymore"
