After another blockbuster year of Irish talent in Hollywood, the IFTAs are sometimes seen as a homecoming for actors
Christy, starring Daniel Power leads with 14 nominations, followed by Saipan with 12 and Blue Moon with 8.
In the best film category, Saipan, Steve, Four Mothers, Aontas, Blue Moon, Four Mothers and Christy all get a nod.
While Eanna Hardwicke and Steve Coogan have been nominated in the lead actor film category for their roles in Saipan - with Cillian murphy and Colin Farrell also getting recognition there.
Jessie Buckley has been nominated in the lead actress category for her role in Hamnet, she's joined there by Carrie Crowley, Eleanor O'Brien, Fiona Shaw, Carolyn Bracken and Fionnuala Flanagan.
Supporting actors and actresses include Paul Mescal, Andrew Scott and two nods for Kerrie Condren for Train Dreams and F1.
While Anthony Boyle and Lola Petticrew have received lead actor and actress recognition in the drama categories.
Comedian Kevin McGahern will host the awards next month.
