There are new calls for a 'social welfare summer bonus' to address the cost of living crisis.
Labour says it should involve a double-payment in one week - like for the Christmas bonus.
The government says it won't be taking any additional measures until October's Budget.
But Labour's finance spokesman, Ged Nash, says that's not acceptable.
"What we would like to see for example is the introduction of something that we called for a number of months ago is the summer welfare bonus, similar to the Christmas bonus the additional one week's payment that those who are on core social welfare payments received.
"Also the introduction for working families on under €50,000 a year of a €200 carbon credit which would contribute to their capacity to be able to pay the bills at the end of the week and the end of the month."
