Nearly 170,000 people have had their Covid booster vaccine in the past two weeks, according to the Health Minister.
While cases of the virus continue to rise, Stephen Donnelly expects a 'normal winter' for most people, though hospitals will be under pressure.
Speaking on his way into cabinet this morning, Minister Donnelly has made an appeal to older people to get their booster before winter sets in:
"Three in every four people at 65 and above have taken the second booster. The bad news is that without that booster people are still very vulnerable. So the one in four people who are 65 and above who have yet to choose to take the booster, actually represent the majority of people in hospital."
