Agricultural Input Price Index Up Almost 35% In October 2022 Compared To October 2021

The Agricultural Input Price Index went up by almost 35 per cent in October, compared to the same month last year.

CSO figures show the cost of fertiliser rose by over 97 per cent, energy prices were 41.4 per cent more expensive and feed prices increased by a third.

On a monthly basis, the Input Price Index increased by 2.1 per cent in October when compared with September.
