Newtownshandrum 1-24 Sarsfield 1-14
Yesterday Sunday 31st January, Newtownshandrum added the RedFM Senior Hurling League Final to their County Championship title. Though the early exchanges were even, the County champions soon powered into the lead and ran in at half-time ahead by 1-13 to 0-7. However, Sars game into the game more in the second half, and a goal late in the second half left only three points between the teams, 1-17 to 1-14. A combination of missed chances by Sars and sharp shooting from Newtown in the closing minutes ensured a comprehensive ten-point victory for the County champions.
