Transmission is a non-genre specific specialist show on Cork's RedFM featuring the very best in new upfront music. If it's new and fits the taste bill - we play it. The main aim of this show is to introduce new music while also including listeners on the show. This spirit of inclusion makes the content more accessible and presenting it more fun.

Everyone working on the show has a really broad taste in music which means the content can come from any genre, drum n bass, indie, hip-hop, and house. The musical menu is wide, varied and eclectic.

This show consists of an innovative feature schedule that moves slightly away from tried and trusted radio format to give the listener something different.

Transmission show segments

1. MOSHPIT - a track selected, classic or otherwise, that does what it says on the tin!
2. PLANET OF SOUND - A track which we think you should own when released. This segment is endorsed and introduced recording artists.
3. RE-INTRODUCING - Familiarise the listener with an artist that may have fallen under the radar
