Stevie G is a well known DJ and Radio presenter from Cork. He is one of the country's best known club DJ's, and has twice finished runner-up as best Irish DJ in the Smirnoff national DJ awards. His Black on Red radio show won best weekly music radio show at the PPI National Radio awards in 2002 and he was also been short-listed for Best Irish radio presenter by British radio journal X-Trax in 2004, eventually being the runner-up to Ian Dempsey.

His profile in Cork is particularly high, and his daily evening radio shows on Cork's RedFM (Red Drive and the Hitlist) are very popular. He has been with RedFM since their inception and is a crucial part of their success in Cork. Stevie G also writes a weekly column in Cork's Evening Echo and his previous media work includes contributions to one of the World's longest running and most respected music magazines, Blues and Soul.

As a DJ, he has played extensively throughout Ireland and abroad for many years. In Ireland he has held long term residencies in well known clubs such as the Pod, Ri Ra, the Kitchen, the GPO, Dolan's Warehouse, Spirit and many more. Stevie G is a regular on the Festival circuit and has played Oxegen, Witness, Homelands, Creamfields and Electric Picnic, while he regularly DJ's at Cork's annual Live at the Marquee event, having played support to such high profile artists such as Destiny's Child, Kanye West, Kelis, Jay Z and Run DMC.

In Cork, he is one of the city's most well known DJs, having been a long time resident at most of its best known club nights, including Sweat at Sir Henry's, Mor Disco at Zoes, Yo Latino at the Half Moon, Rewind and Sugar at the Bodega, Jam and Rapture at the Savoy. He has promoted and run lots of events, including his highly successful Jam Junior teenage event.

He has also done plenty of voluntary youth work, for groups such as the Triskel Arts Centre, where he helped co-ordinate their teenage youth culture workshops. He continues to promote such events at the Pavilion on Carey's Lane, a venue he now runs with two other prominent members of the Cork music community, Joe Kelly and Pat Conway. Stevie G also DJs at the Pavilion, doing a soul night downstairs on Wednesdays and running Jam upstairs every Friday. To find out more about Stevie G and what he's been up to log onto his blog.
