Presenter of Transmission on Friday Nights from 7pm on Corks RedFM, Colm emerged from college radio in Cork CCR, before moving to 96FM to set up The Green Room and eventually heading to RedFM to present Green on Red.

Championing new Irish music is his strength and he excels at interviews, sessions and documentaries focusing on new Irish music which has resulted in many awards and nominations at the annual PPI Radio Awards.

Various live broadcasts from festivals such as Oxegen, and band competitions have put Green on Red on the road over the six year period with O’Sullivan at the helm. Recognition from listeners and bands resulted in Colm polling top 10 every year in the Hotpress Readers Poll.

Then came the challenge of a new show in the form of TRANSMISSION. This show focuses on new music of all genres, and unearths O’Sullivan’s passion for all styles.

In 2007 an initiative was set up to run a band competition to choose a support band for SLAYER Live at The Marquee, putting on live gigs and recording sessions with bands, again the effort was recognised by the PPI.

• 2004 – Winner – On-Air Competition at the national PPI Radio Awards
• 2003 - Winner 'Best Weekly Programme' at the national PPI Radio Awards – Green on Red
• 2002 – Short-listed at PPI Radio Awards for 'Best Weekly Programme' - Green on Red.
