The Big Red Bench, Red FM's Sports show, has been on air since the station launched, and has picked up a loyal following, thanks to its comprehensive coverage and analysis.

The Bench, as it's affectionately known, picked up a PPI Radio Award in 2002 for Best Sports Programme, and has been short-listed for this award numerous times since.

As well as reporting on many sports on a national and international level; the Bench takes pride in covering local sport in detail, being widely known for its in-depth coverage of Munster Rugby, Cork GAA, both local and inter-county, and Cork City Football Club, as Radio Partners to the Rebel Army.

The Big Red Bench airs every Saturday and Sunday on Cork's RedFM from 6 to 7pm.
