Job Description

Title:
Producer

Reporting to: Senior Producer

Producer  - Role and Key tasks include - 

Extensive experience working in a content heavy radio talk-show environment (Or equivalent Journalistic/Media experience).
Excellent contacts book required.
Ability to drive the editorial strategy of the programme on a day to day basis.
Proven ability to generate content for 15 hours of programming weekly.
Research news, stories and ideas for daily programmes. 
Source contributors and interviewees.
React quickly to breaking news stories and secure exclusives.
Develop excellent relationships with regular guests and contributors.
Determination to drive JNLR figures and digital audiences.
Ability to undertake editing, interviewing and reporting duties as necessary.
Ability to use technology, such as Pro Tools and Adobe Audition, for editing and production purposes.(However training can be provided if necessary)
Oversee social Media output of the Neil Prendeville Show. Use social media to attract a wider audience and increase engagement levels with the programme.
Develop regular features.
We require a strong independent thinker who possesses the ability to work under tight deadlines.


 

 

 


Job Description

Reporting to: Senior Producer


Assistant Producer / Researcher  - Role & Key tasks include - 

Proven experience working in a content heavy radio environment (Or equivalent Journalistic/Media experience).
Proven ability to generate content for 15 hours of programming weekly.
Undertake general research for daily programmes.
Record and edit vox pops / features.
Administrative duties.
Maintain up-to-date contacts lists.
Develop ideas for weekly competitions.
Determination to drive JNLR figures and digital audiences.
Ability to undertake editing, interviewing and reporting duties as necessary.
Liaise with callers / contributors.
We require a strong independent thinker who possesses the ability to work under tight deadlines.


Degree and/or Masters in Media/Communications/Radio/Journalism would be favourable but not necessary.
