Russia handed four year ban by WADA
Russia has been handed a four year ban from major international competitions by WADA.
WADA's executive committe reached a unanimous decision in Switzerland this morning, which means the Russian flag and anthem will not be used at events like the Tokyo Olympics or the 2022 World Cup.
Athletes who can prove that they were not tainted by the doping scandal will still be able to participate, however they will have to do so under a neutral flag.
Russian athletes at the 2018 Winter Olympics competed under a neutral flag.
