Munster issue squad update
Munster have issued a squad update ahead of their rescheduled Champions Cup clash with Racing 92.
Following the win over Connacht in the Pro 12 on New Year's Eve, Tommy O'Donnell's ankle injury will require further examination after being injured in the 70th minute of that game at the Sportsground.
It's been confirmed that Darren Sweetnam will be out of action for the next six weeks, the Corkman picked up a knee injury against Leinster on St Stephen's Day.
Meanwhile, Jaco Taute and Angus Lloyd will remain with the Reds until June.
25 year old Sprinbok Taute has been in terrific form for the province, scoring 5 tries in 11 appearances, and has had his loan period extended until the end of the season.
Scrum half Lloyd joined the province on a short term deal from Ulster, and will now also stay until the end of the camapaign.
Speaking to www.MunsterRugby.ie, Munster's director of rugby Rassie Erasmus said
"Thankfully all parties have successfully come together in permitting us to secure Angus and Jaco for the remainder of the season.
"We were keen to retain the services of both players as we move on to our next fixtures. With Cathal (Sheridan) continuing to rehab a long-term ankle injury and Conor (Murray) unavailable to us during the international window Angus will bolster our options at scrumhalf.
"Similarly, with Jaco already in the system, having him available as a fullback or centre will be invaluable as our backline options will need to adapt with international commitments and following recent injuries to Alex Wootton, Bill Johnston and Darren Sweetnam."
