Partners Of Defence Forces To Hold Protest Outside Leinster House
The wives and partners of the Defence Forces are gearing up for a 24 hour protest outside Leinster House today.
The group are marching on behalf of their partners to highlight the poor pay and conditions faced by members.
WPDF says Members of the Defence Forces are among the poorest paid public servants in the country with some members relying on Family Income Supplement payments
They're calling for access to the Labour Court, full pay restoration, and a review of post 1994 contracts which sees members being forced to leave after 21 years of service
