Opposition is mounting to the planned M28 route
Residents objecting to the proposed M28 Ringaskiddy motorway are to outline their opposition to the proposed route at a public meeting
The M28 Steering Group say an alternative route must be found as the current plans will lead to an increase in traffic volumes, air and noise pollution and have a detrimental impact on the quality of life for residents in the area....
The route from the Jack Lynch Tunnel to Ringaskiddy got the greenlight from Transport Infrastructure Ireland and Cork County Council despite more than 500 submissions from homeowners.
A public meeting on the matter is being held at the Rochestown Park Hotel next Wednesday at 7pm.
Speaking to RedFM News, Ger Harrington of the M28 Steering Group outlines what will happen after the public meeting.
