Gardai carry out major drug seizure in Kinsale
Almost €300,000 worth of drugs at a house on Friday
A man is due in court in Cork later, charged in connection with a major drug seizure.
Three people were arrested as part of an operation targetting the sale and supply of controlled substances in the Cork area.
On Friday, Gardai searched a house at Presentation Terrace in Kinsale where they found Cocaine worth €175,000, ecstasy worth €54,000 and cannabis herb worth €60,000 - the combined total of the seizure was almost €300,000.
A man and a woman in their 40's and a man in his 20's were arrested and held at Bandon Garda station under the Drug Trafficking Act.
The woman and the man in his 20's have since been released and a file will be sent to the DPP.
While, the man in his 40s is due to appear at a special sitting of Macroom District Court later at 6.00 o clock this evening charged in relation to the seizure.
