A scheduled flight from Cork to Heathrow was forced to return to Cork Airport this lunchtime after smoke filled the cockpit

Details are sketchy but it's understood the flight which left Cork before midday had to return to the airport after the cockpit began to fill with smoke and oxygen masks dropped down in front of passengers on board the plane

The pilot made the decision to return to Cork where crew and passengers dis-embarked and emergency services were on hand on the ground to assist the flight crew and passengers
