County Councillor Believes Public Should Have Had Their Say On Boundary Issue

A County Councillor says he believes that the public should have had the opportunity to have their say on plans to extend the city boundary.

Under a compromise deal hammered out by the Implementation Ovesight Group Ballincollig, Blarney, Glanmire and Cork Airport will all become part of the city as proposed by the MacKinnon Review Group.

However, Little Island and Carrigtwohill are to remain as part of the county.

The report is now being sent to Government after discussions by both local authorities. 

However speaking to RedFM News County Cllr Derry Canty says not everyone was happy with it and he doesn't think the people he representes in Ballincollig will be happy either:
