Cork Commuters To Face Chaos Today As Train Strike Underway
Commuters in Cork can expect travel chaos today as the second of five rail strikes began at midnight last night.
A further three strike days by SIPTU and the National Bus and Rail Union members are planned for the 14th and 23rd of November and the 8th of December.
The NBRU says the strike revolves around a lack of pay rises for staff over the past ten years.
No trains will operate to or from Kent Station today and Irish Rail are not providing alternative transport and other transport operators will not accept rail tickets on dates of industrial action.
