A man has been killed and a woman seriously injured in a crash
The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in Co Clare
Mayorstone Gardai in Limerick are investigating after the car the pair were travelling in hit a tree at around 3.40am at Woodcock Hill in Meelik.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the 25 year old woman was taken to University Hospital Limerick.
The road is closed for a forensic examination and local diversions are in place.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Gardai.
