WATCH: Brilliant New Music & Video From Cork Band MKAI
Cork is spoiled with musical talent and MKAI is certainly no exception!
The band consists of the four MacSweeny brothers from Cork who released their debut EP in 2014. The EP, Waiting, was produced by Rob Kirwan and definitely made waves in the music industry.
The band are currently in Toronto for the Canadian Music Week until May 9th before starting an Irish tour with dates in Crane Lane, Cork on May 12th, Kasbah at Dolans Limerick May 13th, Roisin Dubh where they will support The Academic on May 21st, and Dublin on May 28th.
Cian MacSweeny from MKAI said "We're taking over 'Twofifty Square Coffee' in Rathmines for the Dublin gig. It's a really cool space. We'll be building a stage in there and will have roaming drummers and live visuals so should be a really cool show. Gonna do something similar in Cork as well."
Their newest track "Nothing Lasts Forever" just premiered today and we have to say we're loving it! The single will be available to buy on May 27th from iTunes. You can pre-order right here.
The video was shot in East Cork by Madra Mór with one quarter of the band, Conor, staring in the visual for the song.
