Picture This Announce Details of their Self-Titled Debut EP

5 track EP will be released Friday August 12th

Ironically for an up and coming band, Picture This don’t actually need an introduction. Having already amassed a fan base of over 30,000 people of Facebook, over half a million views on Youtube, a Top Ten smash with their debut single ‘Take My Hand’ and three headline shows in The Olympia Theatre,  the band have now announced details of their forthcoming self titled debut EP. Released on Friday 12th August, the EP pre order will be live from 28th July.

Hailing from Athy, Co. Kildare, Jimmy Rainsford (22) and Ryan Hennessy (21) joined forces at the end of October 2015. Upon hearing Ryan’s unique voice after spotting him performing in local pubs and venues, Jimmy invited Ryan to join him in his studio to record some tracks. After quickly hitting it off the duo decided to make the partnership more permanent and Picture This was born.

In April of this year, the band became the first band ever to sell out The Academy for a debut gig – 6 weeks in advance. Following the success of their debut Academy show, they announced not one, but two Olympia Theatres shows. Both now sold-out six months in advance, with a third date just announced. The band will play their biggest headline show in Athy to 5000 people on Sunday 13th August.  Full tour dates listed below.

Lead single from the EP ‘Let’s Be Young’ was released on Facebook less than a month ago and already has over 150,000 views. Their Traffic Jam videos have become a viral sensation and have seen the likes of Gavin James, The Script’s Glen Power, The Coronas, Ryan Sheridan, Hometown and Aslan’s Christy Dignam all take part with requests from many more artists to join in.

In March of this year, Picture This were honored when their single “You and I” was chosen by the Irish Film Board as the music for their new advertisement campaign, running in cinemas and used in the board’s presentation at both the Oscars and The Sundance Film Festival.
