Up to 500,000 expected to be out of work as COVID19 crisis continues

The Social Protection Minister has accepted that up to half a million people could be out of work because of the coronavirus pandemic.

58 thousand applications have already been made for a special Covid 19 jobseekers payment.

So far, 43,000 have been processed and people will be paid at the start of next week.
