Simon Harris says new recommendations are likely

The Health Minister says new recommendations are likely to tackle problems with social distancing.

There are concerns some people aren’t adhering to the two metre distance to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

The National Public Health Emergency Team will meet tomorrow to consider if tighter restrictions are necessary.

Simon Harris says some people still aren’t following social distancing rules.

"Over the weekend we did see on a number of occasions people taking the advice that they could go out and take a walk, and really taking it to a level that's not acceptable in terms of congregating in busy areas.

"Whether you're indoors or outdoors the social distancing does apply. So that two metres you need to keep between yourself and other people applies both indoors and outdoors."
