Covid-19 Restrictions Have Given People A Renewed Appreciation For Their Local Heritage
That's according to Cork City Heritage Officer Niamh Twomey
She says her department has never had so many enquiries from the public.
National Heritage Week runs online from the 15th to the 23rd of August this year due to the coronavirus, with people being encouraged to submit their ideas for projects on the themes of Heritage and Education.
Spekaing to RedFM News, Niamh Twomey from Cork City Council says restrictions have led to a surge in curiosity about their local areas:
