Unexpected Donation Welcomed By West Cork Domestic Abuse Group
West Cork Women Against Violence says the money will allow them to purchase a safe house for women and children escaping domestic violence in the region.
The house will be suitable for up to two families at a time and will operate differently from a refuge.
West Cork Women Against Violence are also recruiting a safe house accommodation support worker.
Applications for the role close at 5pm today.
