The Language We Use To Describe Sexual Violence Is Important
That's according to Mary Crilly of Sexual Violence Centre Cork
The centre started a campaign at the end of last year asking the public to help correct headlines in the media which use inappropriate language to describe sexual offences.
The centre is continuing the campaign this year using the hashtag 'fixed it'
Speaking to RedFM News Mary Crilly says the term child prostitute, for example, is unacceptable as it implies consent;
