The East Tip Haulbowline Island Remediation Project shortlisted for prestigious award
The East Tip Haulbowline Island Remediation Project has been shortlisted for the Engineering Project of the Year 2019.
The remediation project on the East tip of Haulbowline Island saw the transformation of this waste area with its negative industrial legacy into a public recreational amenity which promises to greatly benefit locals and visitors alike.
Plans are currently being progressed to open the park once a lease has been finalised. This will enable Cork County Council to operate the area as a public recreation amenity.
