Tenders sought for Carrigaline Relief Road
Cork County Council has invited tenders for the prequalification of suitable contractors for the construction of the Carrigaline Western Relief Road.
Suitable contractors will be shortlisted for invitation to tender for the main works contract before the end of the year, subject to funding confirmation.
It's expected that a contractor will be appointed in early 2020 with works starting on the ground in April. The works are expected to take 18 months.
It's hoped the Relief Road will alleviate traffic congestion in Main Street, Carrigaline, as well as providing the necessary infrastructure to facilitate the ongoing development of the town centre, including public realm improvements in Main Street.
