Taxi drivers depending on pubs reopening

Taxi drivers are among those depending on the reopening of pubs to survive.

That's according to the Cork branch of the Vinters Federation of Ireland who says many taxi drivers have seen their business decimated as a result of the closure of pubs.

From Monday pubs that serve food will be allowed to reopen, the remainder will be given the green light to reopen on July 20th.

Concerns have been expressed about the impact social distancing requirements will have on their trade with many Cork pubs calling for a one metre distancing rule to make their business viable.

Speaking to RedFM News Michael O'Donovan of the VFI and owner of the Castle Inn in the city says everyone is dependent on reopening going well - press PLAY
