Results day arrives for almost 7,000 Junior Cert students in Cork
The wait is finally over for 6,923 students across Cork who will receive their Junior Cert results today.
The Teachers' Union of Ireland is among those congratulating students on their results.
The union says it's important that they go on to complete their Leaving Cert.
Meanwhile Drinkaware is reminding parents that they have the biggest influence on young people's decisions around alcohol and they should talk to their children ahead of tonight's Junior Cert celebrations..
The organisation says parents should set rules for the results night together, ensure they know where their children are going and how they will get home..
