French President Emmanuel Macron say the country will rebuild Notre Dame Cathedral.
He visited the site of a fire last night which ravaged the medieval building in Paris.
A fund is being launched today to help pay for what could be a massive reconstruction project.
Emmanuel Macron says emergency services have managed to rescue the structure from total destruction.
One of the richest men in France is donating €100 million - to Notre Dame's reconstruction.
François-Henri Pinault says he wants to "revive the jewel of our heritage", and see the cathedral completely rebuilt.
He's the chairman and CEO of the Kering group, which owns fashion labels including Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent.
