Plans For Incinerator In Ringaskiddy Should Be Dropped In Light Of A New EU Report
That's according to Ireland South MEP candidate Sheila Nunan
Sheila Nunan says new EU laws could see Ireland receiving heavy fines for not meeting recycling targets which come into force next year.
Cork Harbour Alliance for a Safe Environment appealed An Bord Pleanála's decision to grant permission for the incinerator to the High Court last month.
Speaking to RedFM News, Ireland South MEP candidate Sheila Nunan says the European Commission report warns against any increase in incineration.
