Parents Turn To Cork Penny Dinners For Help Due To Mounting Back To School Costs

The charity is delivering food hampers this week to families under pressure

 

Catriona Twomey who runs the charity says the pressure of back to school expenses seems to be getting worse every year and the charity is experiencing a noticeable increase in the number of hampers needed this week 

She also revealed that some parents sending their children to fee-paying schools are also struggling to make ends meet and pay their bills 

Speaking to RedFM News Catriona Twomey says parents across the board are finding it hard to meet all the costs associated with back to school and are also facing a tough month in September
