Over 100 Children In Cork Waiting Over A Year For CAMHS Appointment
Figures show there are 650 children and teenagers on the waiting list for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service
The figure includes 113 in Cork, with almost 20% of the 650 waiting more than 12 months to be seen.
The HSE has acknowledged that a consultant vacancy in the Cork North Central team has had a significant impact on waiting lists and say that they have been unable to fill the position despite 'strenuous efforts' including repeated advertising.
