One Of The Clock's On Cork's Four Faced Liar Is To Be Decommissioned
Concerns have been expressed about damage to its mechanism
The 172 year old clock on Shandon steeple was restored in 2014 following a public outcry, however structural issues at the tower have forced the Council to disengage the mechanism on the tower's eastern clock face to prevent further damage.
The Irish Examiner reports that it's hoped repairs on the clock which overlooks Patrick's Hill will be completed by the end of the summer.
