Lough Residents Say Revised Plans To Student Accommodation Fails To Address Locals Concerns
Residents in the Lough say revised plans for high rise student accommodation in the area have ignored issues raised by the community.
That's according to the "Save The Lough From Highrise" Group who say changes to the plans are minor and mostly cosmetic in nature.
The 350 bed student accommodation development is proposed for the O'Riordan's joinery site on the Bandon Road, which includes a piece of land previously owned by the church.
Locals say the project will impact negativly on the the lives of elderly residents in the area because of an increase in traffic and a possible increase in anti- social behaviour.
Speaking to RedFM News Billy O'Connor from the opposition group says they will renew their objection to the revised plans:
