It's Hoped A New Ferry Service Will Boost Number Tourist Numbers At Spike Island
The new 126 seater ferry will run alongside the 80 seater Bryan J ferry
The official launch of the ferry follows events to mark the 81st anniversary of the handover of the island from Britain to Ireland last weekend.
Spike Island was voted the top European tourist attraction and second best tourist attraction in the world in 2017.
Speaking to RedFM News, general manager of the island John Crotty says the new ferry has already proved to be a valuble addition:
