Flu Outbreak Leads To Visitor Restrictions At The Mercy University Hospital

Visiting is limited to critically ill patients at the hospital and only named visitors will be admitted.


Strict visitor restrictions are in place at the Mercy University Hospital due to an outbreak of the flu 

The confirmed number of case of flu at the hospital now stands at 10 and the restrictions have been imposed in an effort to stop the spread of the infection as visitors can be carriers 

Visiting is limited to critically ill patients at the hospital and only named visitors will be admitted.. 

People with flu-like symptoms are being advised to visit their GP rather than present at the hospital's ED 

Speaking to RedFM News, the  Clinical Director at the Mercy Dr Kieran O'Connor has moved to reassure listeners that while the hospital is experiencing high volumes, patients are being seen and treated
