ESB repair crews across Cork continued with the power restoration operation last night
Crews were on the ground until 10 o'clock last night before being stood down on safety grounds due to Storm Brian
Thousands of customers primarily in the west of the county remain without power but its hoped at this stage that the majority of homes will be reconnected by Sunday night.
Meanwhile Irish Water have confirmed to RedFM News that the water supply has been restored to all Cork homes.
Since Ophelia struck on Monday, Irish Water along with the County Council have been sourcing generators and been putting them in place to get treatments back in operation.
In some towns and villages areas water tankers were deployed to those affected by outages.
