Eir says 15,980 are still without service in Cork

Eir says Cork is the county with the highest number of their customers without  broadband, telephone and mobile service as a result of Storm Ophelia.

15,980 are still without service - that number stands at 50,000 nationally.

There are over 1,000 different locations across the country where the company says they have sustained network damage.

The scale of the damage ranges from a single pole, up to 18 poles and two kilometres of cables along one particular section of road.

Our 1,200 staff are working to repair network damage.

Customers can find updates via www.eir.ie and can log faults on online or by calling 1901.
