Councillors To Write To The Department Of Education About Lack Of School Places In East Cork

They claim that another secondary school is urgently needed in the region to meet the growing demand for places 


Their letter will call on the Department to formally assess the need for a secondary school, and to "quickly initiate a patronage competition" when this need is confirmed.
Locals have expressed their concern about the uncertainty surrounding the availability of secondary school places in their area and about the possibility of their children facing long commutes to school
