Cork University Hospital Is The Country's Second Most Overcrowded Hospital In The Country Today 

The INMO figures, which show that 60 patients are being treated on trolleys at the hospital come as the National Patient Survey found that while most people experience good care in Cork, the overcrowding crisis at CUH is impacting negatively on patients' experience at the hospital 

Over 1,500 patients from five public hospitals in Cork took part in the survey which found that Cork University Hospital was rated below the national average for the amount of privacy patients expect while being examined or treated in the emergency department

Conor Foley from HIQA told RedFM News that the picture is broadly positive but says overcrowding at CUH was raised by patients and he says work is being done to tackle the issue:
