Cork County Council Has Launched A New Social Sustainability Investment Programme
The local authority has signed a €35 million loan agreement with the European Investment Bank
The County Council's new Social Sustainability Investment Programme will lead to more opportunities for towns and villages.
That's according to the County Engineer Kevin Morey who was speaking at County Hall as the local authority signed a €35 million loan agreement with the European Investment Bank.
The loan is for the first phase of an ambitious €250 million, ten year plan to stimulate growth and employment in the county through a number of initiatives.
The council say they have devised the plan to maximise the growth set out for Cork in the Ireland 2040 plan.
