Cork Airport Not Surprised By Norwegian Air Decision To Discontinue Transatlantic Routes From Ireland

Airport management are engaging with three carriers to secure a new transatlantic route carrier out of Cork

Cork Airport say the decision by Norwegian Air to discontinue all their transatlantic routes from Ireland didn't come as a surprise... 

The airline says the global grounding of the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft means the routes out of Cork, Dublin and Shannon are no longer commercially viable and all six routes to the US and Canada will be cancelled from September 15th next 


Management at Cork Airport say they will now redouble their efforts to secure a new transatlantic carrier for Cork to operate from Summer 2021..

Speaking to RedFM News Managing Director at the Airport Niall McCarthy say there is a demand for transatlantic flights out of Cork and they are currently speaking to three carriers to secure a new carrier out of Cork from Summer 2021
