Cabinet Briefed On Ireland's Version Of NHS

The Cabinet is being briefed on the cost and commitment needed to build a National Health Service in Ireland akin to Britain's NHS.

The all-party Slaintecare health report is being discussed at a special meeting in Cork 

It's estimated removing private care from public hospitals would lead to a shortfall of 900-million euro in funding for the hospitals.

Health Minister Simon Harris says Slaintecare called for that to happen but it needs much more detail.
